Revlon Colorstay Liquid Foundation for Combination/Oily Skin Review
10:00 AM
Foundation is the key for a flawless makeup. When you have found the right foundation is like you have found the right husband or boyfriend :p
Finding a good foundation has been one of my serious problem for a long time now. Most of them are too oily for my skin, sometimes too cakey, or the shade is not the right one.
Honestly, Revlon has been one of my favorite drugstore product since I was in a high school. And Revlon Colorstay foundation, became my favorite daily foundation since a couple years ago. I always repurchase again and again. Today I'm gonna review the latest Revlon Colorstay that I have, well maybe I got the old packaging, but the formula is still the same..( I guess..) I bought this foundation quite a long time but never had the time to provide some reviews, so here goes my review..

Sadly, in Indonesian store don't have the complete shade, so sometimes being difficult to choose the right one to our skin. I am NC30 on MAC and for this foundie I got shade 200 Natural Beige. This foundation has a yellow based so it would suit Asian skin tone. The consistency is a little bit watery when you don't shake it up first, and when shaken up it is become thicker. It has a full coverage and buildable, so with a bit of layering you can definitely get some nice coverage out of this foundation.
But, all those good thing doesn't come with a pump. Yes, it is only come with a bottle with a screw cap. Since it has lack of a pump just makes it a bit hard to control how much comes out compared to how much you need.
This foundation sits happily on my face around 6-8 hours without primer and become a little longer when I do primer. As a drugstore product, it is quite good lasting power since we are moslem have to have wudhu frequently, and since I have the super oily on my t-zone too. Although they promised a matte finish, but on me it become a little bit dewy, and the color stay stood still when I worn it for a day long. It's oil control much better than of any other kind drugstore foundation, though I have some touch up in T-zone area.
Here is the swatch..
It looks a bit lighter for me before blended, but it run transparent with a smoothy matte finish after blended well.
When you looking for an affordable great foundation, you should go to this foundation. For a full coverage you can build it layer by layer with your finger or classic foundation brush. But I suggested to use a beauty blender or stippling brush when you want a nice lightweight coverage. I used to have it with my Masami Shouko Duo Fibre Brush and it's color going smoothly like my second skin.
All in all this foundation is works for me, and I love it!!
