Buat para pecinta makeup pasti sudah tidak asing lagi dengan istilah crease, lids, browbone, etc. Banyak tutorial yang mengajarkan teknik makeup mata dengan menggunakan istilah-istilah tersebut. Tapi tau nggak sih sebenernya dimana-mana aja letak-letak bagian mata tersebut. Mungkin dengan sedikit informasi dibawah ini bisa membantu kalian para makeup junkie mempermudah mengaplikasikan makeup di tiap-tiap bagiannya dan membuat tampilan mata yang stunning..
Saya merangkum beberapa bagian dibawah ini dari sini ...
Brow Bone/Highlight: Pada umumnya, eyeshadow / brow product berwarna terang diaplikasikan di area ini, it may be something that has undertones of bolder colors used on the lid, or it may simply be similar to your skintone. Area ini juga turut menentukan bentuk proporsi wajah kita pada saat contouring & highlight.
Above Crease: This is the “blend out” area. Kebanyakan warna eyeshadow yang strong diaplikasikan disini untuk membentuk tingkat kedalaman mata dan efek smokey eyes. Warna strong yang diaplikasikan di area ini needs to be diffused as it moves it way upwards towards the brow. The best way to think about it is as a gradient, going from dark to light, starting on the lid moving towards the brow.
Outer Crease: Area ini dimulai dari ujung mata bagian dalam (dekat hidung) hingga ujung mata bagian luar (dekat pelipis).
Inner Lid: In many looks you will see, a lighter color is put on the inner lid. Biasanya untuk membuat tampilan mata lebih cerah dan stand out.
Middle of Lid: This is the middle third of the eyelid, and this is where a “medium” color in terms of darkness would go. Area bebas kreasi, mau pake warna apa aja terserah. Biasanya sih kalo saya menentukan dulu warna di bagian ini terlebih dahulu, sebelum menentukan padu padan warnanya di area yang lain.
Outer Lid: This is the outer third of the eyelid, and this is usually where people put the darkest lid color untuk mendapatkan efek smokey eyes yang vibrant dan outstanding.
Upper Lash Line: It is where your upper lashes (generally the longest ones, the ones that come from your eyelid) meet your eyelid. Inilah area dimana kita mengaplikasikan eyeliner dengan suka-suka. Mau model tebal atau tipis, this is the favorite area of the eye to make the stand out look.

your lower line. Meski beberapa makeup artist mewarnai bagian ini, tapi saya sih tetep ngeri ya, takut kecolok-colok matanya. Dan mewarnai area ini butuh konsentrasi karena tingkat kesulitannya tinggi :D
Lower Waterline: The lower waterline is sometimes called the lower rim, because it is essentially the bottom rim of your eye. There are dozens of people who cannot put product on their waterline due to sensitivity, and many others who struggle to find a product that does not fade or dissolve because of the waterline (and the fact that it is…watery! I always have difficulty doing the eyeliner to this part!)
Lower Lash Line: Not everyone likes to put color on the lower lash line, which is space directly below the lower waterline. Seperti saya contohnya, entah kenapa kalo area ini dikasih line, kok rasanya muka jadi aneh. Biasanya sih saya cuma memberi warna di ujung area outer, tapi tidak di area tear-duck. Beberapa orang memberi warna bold untuk tampilan smokey eyes yang vibrant.
Upper Lashes: Most makeup users will apply at least one coat of mascara in either brown or black. Kalo mau lebih stand out lagi biasanya ditambahin false eyelashes.
Lower Lashes: Make up users sometimes like to give them a quick coat of mascara after finish doing the upper lashes, so they would be look blacker and stand out a touch. Harus extra hati2 kalo mau mengaplikasikan mascara, atau akan belepotan ke daerah kantung mata :))
